I have been thinking about this issue for a while and decided to ask all of you for an opinion. Do you think the high drop rate of all Jewel effect how we trade for goods and effect server population to either grow or diminish in any way??
I personally think the high jewel drop rate is making all(except Harmony) jewels pretty much worthless and this is making the new people more difficult to obtain items on server because people do not want to accept jewels as currency. I personally would not want to accept bless or souls(even JOL sometimes) when I am selling excellent or ancient items. If new people without friends or guild can not obtain good gears, they will not wish to stay and play on this server....

What do you all think??

@ SirCapo:
I'm still undecided on whether this high drop rate is a good thing or not.

I agree and do think that most jewels, with the exception of harmonies, are pretty much worthless for trading/currency. But at the same time, it's a lot easier to get excellent items this season. In fact, some players just drop Bok in the middle of Lorencia and leave the items they don't want for others to grab freely. Also, I often see players selling Exc items for zen which I think most new payers can afford. All you need is ~ 4 JOL to sell to the NPC for zen. Heck, even ancient items are easier to obtain this season compared to the previous season from what I've seen.

On one hand, I like being able to get the goods easily. Who doesn't? This is good for those who don?t like to donate and complain about Donator v.s. Non Donator imbalance.

On the other hand, I like a challenge as well. The excitement in killing golden mobs is somewhat diminished because you see them more often. If you don't find mobs, there are other ways to get Exc items.

I'm still on the fence about the drop rate. But I'll tell you this, if the IEN staff decides to lower the drop rate of some things a little, I wouldn't mind it. Ok, maybe I would at first, but whatever I've been spoiled by the "easy" life. Hahaha xD.

That's just the way i see things. Cheers,

FF

We do not decide what the value of what ever the jewels are.

It is decided by the players themselves. More they play the more they collect.

I have not been in the game for a while but i bet there is a new "Blue Chip".

There will always be players looking for a few jewels to replace with a set or a weapon for a new comer.

I doubt everyone is so greedy :)
